Dr. Linda W. Hobson earned her bachelor's degree in English from Denison University, her master's degree in English from Duke University, and her Ph.D. with a focus in Southern literature from the University of Alabama. She has published two books about National Book Award-winning novelist Walker Percy, with whom she shared a fond friendship for eleven years.

Hobson has taught literature and writing for three decades in New Orleans, La., and Durham, N.C., in universities, private secondary schools, and continuing education workshops. The former Executive Director of the North Carolina Writers' Network, 1996-2002, she founded Triangle Editing in April 2007.
